Elena's work on calculating the dielectric properties of materials made it into Advanced Materials. This work was spearheaded by our colleagues in the Physical Chemistry department at the Fritz Haber Institute (FHI) in Berlin, combining near-field and far-field experiments with theory. Elena’s simulations enhance our understanding the isotopic shifts in hyperbloic shear polaritons. Overall, the results demonstrate a powerful route to tailor highly directional polaritons into previously inaccessible frequency ranges.
